Finished Size Cylinder: 23” circumference and 13” tall. Cube: Each square measures 10” - 10”. Ball: 22” circumference (about 11” tall). All measurements after blocking.

Yarn Louet Euroflax Sportweight (100% linen; 270 yd 247 m/100 g): #63 rose, #01 champagne, and #43 pewter, 1 skein each.

Yarn Weight #1 - Super Fine
Needles Cylinder size 7 (4.5 mm): 16” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Cube size 7 (4.5 mm): 24” cir and set of dpn. Ball size 7 (4.5 mm): 16” cir and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; 8” diameter cylinder paper lantern, shown in beige; 10” cube paper lantern, shown in white; 8” round paper lantern, shown in latte (see Lighting Kit for Lanterns below).

Gauge 18 sts and 35 rnds = 5” in counterpane patt; 18 sts = 4” and 12 rows = 3” in modified Indian cross st; 18 sts and 16 rnds = 4” in seafoam patt.

If you’d like your lanterns to be functional, purchase shades that come with electric kits, or buy a kit separately. For the photoshoot, we used the Hemma cord set from Ikea), and the paper lanterns were purchased separately from the paper lantern store.
