OVS
It is a top-down, semi-circle shawl. The stitch pattern consists of only offset V-stitches (OVS) and chains. Thank you to KaraFay (ravelry name) for suggesting the name.
Any yarn and colours will be great for it. Gauge is not important.
Measurement before blocking: Top edge 40” x 18” deep
After blocking: Top edge 46” x 21” deep
Please note that the yarn yardage used is a rough estimation.
A. You can block the shawl to increase the depth.
B. You can use tr instead of dc to make it bigger. Replace all dc to tr.
Row 1: Ch 8, (2tr, ch 1, tr) in 5th ch from hook, ch 1, sk 2 ch, OVS in next ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 4, (2tr, ch 1, tr) in 1st dc, (ch 3, sk 3 sts, OVS in next st) 2 times, ch 3, OVS in top ch of t-ch, turn.
C. To make the shawl bigger, you can either keep increasing the chains for every 2 rows or work the OVS4, OVS5, …
I have put the bigger shawl instructions on the pattern page up to Row 30.
