Kits are available HERE for the Overflow Hat with sequined patches.

The Overflow Hat is a simple and quick cap knit in chunky weight yarn with a classic fold-up brim. It can be worn folded up or unfolded as a slouch hat. My favorite way to finish this hat is with a patch that’s sewn on to hold the brim layer together with the body layer. This design uses NO purl stitches it’s made entirely in knit stitches in the round.

For the hats shown as samples, one used a chunky weight yarn single strand and one used THREE strands of Fingering weight (CYCA #1) held together to achieve a chunky weight gauge.

Construction Details:
The Overflow Hat is worked in the round from the brim towards the crown.
