Overcast
Overcast was designed by me for me.
It’s just shifted from summer to fall where I live and I had a shawl just like this in mind to wear for the coming colder months. So of course I designed it and knit it! The super bulky single ply Watershed yarn (by the ever amazing Hinterland yarns) has been calling to me since I got it last year, I’m so happy with how it knit up!
As much as I love designing all different types of shawls, top down triangles seem to be the shape that I go back to over and over again. I design them and I knit them in little frenzies. This was such a pleasurable design to design and knit! And I love how I look in it!
My wonderful step mum Hiromi Goto took all the absolutely gorgeous photos! Thank you Hiromi!
So keep in mind, this shawl was designed for me (I’m a big lady), so it’s a big shawl. It’s wingspan alone is 76” (which is 6’3”).
It’s coooozy and lovely and big!
If you find yourself low on funds feel free to email softsweaterknits@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to gift you a copy of this or any of my for-pay patterns! No questions asked. Just remember to include the name of the pattern you’re interested and your Ravelry username! There has been some delays in emailing lately, so your patience is greatly appreciated!
