Opposing Forces
Opposing Forces is a seamless, comfortable, open front cardigan with an interesting construction.
The yoke is worked first seamlessly in 2 pieces: the left and the right side of it are attached at the center of the back.
The sleeves are worked as a continuation of the yoke.
After the completion of the yoke and the sleeves stitches are picked up along the lower edge of the yoke and body is worked in one piece to the bottom edge.
The neckband and the front bands are picked up and worked afterwards.
Gauge
16 sts and 24 rows = 10x10 cm/4”x4” in Stockinette Stitch knit flat (yoke and body) with larger needle after blocking
16 sts and 24 rounds = 10x10 cm/4”x4” in Stockinette Stitch knit in the round (sleeves) with larger needle after blocking
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
