Opal is a great beginner colorwork sweater. Only two colors at a time are utilized throughout and only a few rounds have floats that are long enough to need catching.
Choose two colors that have good contrast between each other for the yoke and pick a third complementary color for the rest of the sweater.

MATERIALS
Needles: US8 / 5mm main needle (or size needed to obtain gauge), US6 / 4mm for ribbing, (or two sizes smaller than the gauge needle).
NOTIONS
Stitch marker, scrap yarn, tapestry needle.

Worsted weight
Yarn used and recommended: Julie Asselin Journey Worsted, 80% merino / 20 % Terghee Wool, 115g 210 yards / 192 meters.
