Ooey Gooey Cowl
With the season of giving just around the corner, I wanted to support Sisters United, a nonprofit that helps create opportunities for Indigenous Women and Children, offers financial support in the ground work to find missing Indigenous people, and funds essential programs to heal Indigenous communities and to keep them safe. I will be donating 15% of pattern sales for the Ooey Gooey Cowl to Sisters United thru the month of September!
DETAILS
I love this style of cowl for colorwork, as it is perfect for when you don’t want to have to weave in lots of ends, and you always have the right side facing you! Plus, it happens to be one of my favorite accessories to wear thanks to its easy styling - just pop it on! I was craving the coziest cowl ever, so I reached for some Suri Alpaca, which I held double, and then paired it with a color- shifting yarn to make it extra dynamic.

For this cowl, I plumped up the texture by holding 2 strand of The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Oh Dang! together. This is my all time favorite fuzzy yarn, adding coziness, dimension and warmth! There is no easier way to add interest to a knit than with the playful, long color changes of Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool. This unique yarn brings colorwork to life!
