One for All
USE CODE STITCHNIGHTLOVE FOR 10% OFF THROUGH FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27
Gentle, wearable, easygoing — One for All is a designed to be a breezy knit from cast on to finishing. It features classic details like rolled stockinette trim and a raglan motif, but doesn’t compromise on fit (hello, bust darts and front neck shaping). We hope this sweater becomes a template for all your coziest makes!
One for All is graded on a women’s size chart.
CONSTRUCTION
You’ll begin One for All by casting on stitches and working German Short Rows to shape the neck. You’ll then work in the round to the underarms, before splitting for the body and sleeves, which are also worked in the round toward the cuff. The body has a gentle bell shape, with increases worked in concentric rings. Finally, stitches are picked up and worked for the standing collar.
Optional bust shaping
Who Could Stay includes instructions for working shorts rows, in five sizes, to accommodate breasts.

Your best fit
Choose the size closest to your actual upper measurement: 27.75 (31.75, 35.75, 39.25) (42.25, 44.5, 47.5) (50.5, 53.5, 56.5, 59.25) inches / 70.5 (80.5, 91, 99.5) (107.5, 113, 120.5) (128.5, 136, 143.5, 150.5) cm
Upper chest is measured above the full bust, at an angle close to diagonal beneath the underarms, and straight across the back.
One for All is designed with approximately 3 inches / 7.5 cm of positive ease at the full best and approximately 3.75 inches / 9.5 cm of positive ease at the upper arm.
If you need additional room for the bust, working the optional short row shaping will give you the best fit in the shoulders and armholes, while still making room for your chest. Short rows add length to the front only of the garment, so that the hem does not rise in the front.
Jen is wearing size 5, cup 3, with 4.75 inches / 12 cm of positive ease at the full bust. Her upper chest is 41 inches / 104 cm and she is 5’8” / 172.5 cm tall.
YARN
Sample shown in Brooklyn Tweed Imbue Sport
100% Non-superwash Merino wool; 190 yds / 174 m per 50 g skein. This is a 3-ply worsted-spun yarn made with 20.5 micron Merino. Imbue is an incredibly soft, very light yarn with modest drape and stitch definition — we find it behaves much like a woolen-spun yarn. Shown in Warbler.
1115 (1205, 1315, 1410) (1515, 1620, 1740) (1855,1980, 2105, 2205) yds / 1020 (1100, 1205, 1290) (1385, 1480, 1590) (1695, 1810, 1925, 2015) m; 6 (7, 7, 8) (8, 9, 10) (10, 11, 12, 12) skeins
For optional bust darts, you will need an additional 10 - 125 yds / 10 - 115 m.
