This simple ombre hat can be made in just a few evenings and is sure to please. There is an optional pom-pom. The suggested color shifting yarns create the hombre effect. There are also optional instructions for using multiple strands of fine-gauge yarns to create the ombre effect.

There are no double-pointed needles needed for this hat. It is knitted entirely on US size 8 straight needles.

Instructions are provided for a man’s hat and a women’s hat as well as how to measure and adjust the pattern for a specific head size.

Both written instructions and a chart are included.
