Old Tjikko Backpack, made with tapestry technique.

Pattern written in English & Swedish, using American standard (US) terms with step-by-step instructions and pictures (10 pages).

MATERIALS AND TOOLS
-Hook size 2,0 mm or 1,75 if it’s difficult to reach the right tension, preferably with a pointy and short hook.
-Tapestry needle and sewing pins.
-Mercerized cotton yarn 8/4, 14 wpi, 4 ply, super fine, fingering, number 3 thread.
-Zipper (approx. 30 cm/11.8 in)
-Scissors
-Sewing needle & matching thread.
-Backpack straps


YARN
100% mercerized cotton, 8/4, 14 wpi, 4 ply, super fine, fingering.
Gauge: 46 dc x 19 rnds = 10x10 cm/ 3,9x3,9 in.
I used Järbo yarn 8/4, 170 meters (approx. 186 yards), approx. 50 grams (approx. 1.76 ounces) in following colors: Christmas green approx. 200g/700m, Pomegranate green approx. 50g/170m, Dark brown approx. 100g/350m.

DIMENSIONS OF FINISHED PRODUCT
Approx. 30,5 x 47 cm/ 12 x 18.5 in. Please remember that the dimensions of the finished product depends on used material, type of crochet hook and style of crocheting/gauge.

SKILL LEVEL
Average - basic skills of crocheting are needed. You should know how to crochet following stitches: Chain stitch (ch), Single crochet (sc), Slip stitch (sl st), Double crochet (dc), and how to make color changes. The pattern consists of easy to follow charts, with accompanying pictures which gives you the perfect opportunity to try something new!
