Oh How I Love This Throw
Oh How I Love This Throw is a collaboration with the Swedish retailer Favoritgarner (www.favoritgarner.se).
Last summer I got the challenge to design using both Scheepjes Eliza and Bloom. Two very different kinds of yarn that contrast one another in a really interesting way. Eliza being this super soft and velvety touch kind of yarn; and Bloom being a sturdy, thicker and highly textured yarn that reminds me a bit of a chained cord. So what to do with this pairing?
Well the project I had in mind for these two was a huge (somewhat flatter) floor pillow. However, while working on it I constantly found myself thinking what a lovely throw it would make. Friends and family kept saying the same and so the more I thought about it the clearer it got; I absolutely loved this idea of turning it into a throw as well. And thereby its name - Oh How I Love This Throw.
The throw is worked with double threads (!) throughout, and when finished it measures 70x90 cm.
A perfect Netflix and chill kind of crocheting being both quick and cozy while featuring a calming mix of stitches; bubble’s and herringbone’s included!
Hope you’ll have fun!
Love,
Tess
