Off the Cuff Cowl
Puddles buried this pattern - pattern is retired.
Finished measurements: 25”/ 63.5cm x 7”/ 18cm
This pattern uses less than one skein of cloud cotton.
My sister inspired me to design a beginner pattern. She has crocheted for years and was leery at trying her hand at knitting, so I decided to tempt her beyond her doubts. I created a simple pattern that required only knit, purl, and a button opening, in her favorite color, blue. To ensure her success I included written directions as well as a chart. Furthermore, I sent this pattern off to be tech edited to make certain it would be as universally understood as possible.
As to the specifics behind the “Off the Cuff” design, I find cuffs on garments rather interesting as they intentional expose of the wrong side of a work. The seed stitch alters to emulate the structure of a cuff. The coconut shell button lends itself perfectly to the organic cotton yarn, naturally with a touch of preppy.
