Off Shore Hat & Scarf set
Off Shore is a wearable uni-sex hat and scarf set inspired by the textures and shapes of the harbour wall in Lynmouth, on the coast of North Devon. A simple stitch pattern compromised of knits and purls to create an interesting textured fabric. Double Moss stitch being the Gansey stitch of Appledore, I have incorporated that stitch with ladder-like garter stitch to replicate the Devon stonewalling and rusting metal ladders you can use to disembark your boat here in Lynmouth. The stripes of colour add a fun modern pop to an old and traditional style of knitting.

Notes
Note on stitch patterns: Whilst it might seem a bit strange that I have written for example: k6, k1, k2, I have done this in hope this will help you be able to read your knitting. It does just mean K9.
Off Shore hat is cast on at the brim and knit in the round. This hat has a three folded brim making sure for a warm head. Decreases are worked in the crown to shape top of cap.
Off shore scarf is worked flat, cast on at one end, and worked to desired length, and cast off
If purchasing yarn for both, one mini of each of the contrasting colours will suffice for both projects.
