This hat has a bit of slouch and a jaunty angle built right in. Change up the look by wearing the hat with the slant to the front, to the back, or off to one side. Use just 2 colors or go wild with scraps of multiple colors for a unique look.

The hat is knit in the round from the ribbed brim to the crown. Two strands of sport-weight yarn are held together throughout or choose a single strand of bulky-weight yarn for a similar look. German Short Rows make one side of the hat longer than the other. The unusual shaping is highlighted by Reverse Stockinette Stitch welts, which are further accented by changing the color of one strand of yarn to create a marl for the sport-weight version.

This pattern is written for the sport-weight version, using two strands of yarn held together. For the bulky-weight version, use a single strand of yarn throughout, changing to a single strand of the
contrast color for the welts.
