This Nyland Bonnet and Mittens set makes the perfect baby shower gift for any newborn — after all, what could feel more luxurious than dressing a tiny baby in a soft, warm bonnet with matching mittens? Especially when it’s worked from cashmere, one of the smoothest and most beautiful yarns.

HOW TO KNIT THE SET
Nyland Bonnet is worked from the face towards the back of the head. First you work a rectangular piece of double moss stitch. Then you work the back of the head in stocking stitch in the round while decreasing. Finally an I-cord is worked as strings and neckband.

Nyland Mittens are worked from the bottom up. First you work the rib, then a row of eyelets for the string. The hand is worked in double moss stitch and finished in stocking stitch with decreases.
