Nova Cowl
by Amy Pickard
The cowl begins with a provisional cast on and is worked in a stranded colourwork pattern in the round until it reaches the desired circumference. The two ends are then grafted together using Kitchener stitch for a seamless finish. If you prefer, you can work a standard cast on and cast off and join the two ends using mattress stitch, though this will give you a bulkier, more visible seam.
This issue is on sale from 15th October in supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK and on our website. It is also available digitally via our apps for Apple and Android devices and through Pocketmags here.
