Nola Jane
Nola Jane was originally published in Petite Purls. This new version has adjusted sizing for a better fit, a new schematic, and is rewritten for clarity. Technical editing by Laura Cameron.

This sweet top for baby and toddler girls has a fun, retro look with its 1980s silhouette, updated with a modern fit. And who can resist the sweet ruffles! Named for the real Nola Jane, whose hand-me-down top inspired me to knit this for my daughter.
Nola Jane is worked from the bottom up with turned hems, raglan shaping, and a wide neckline. Purl stitches are worked at intervals on the front yoke only, and those stitches are later picked up to add the crocheted ruffles.
Skills required: Provisional cast-on, knitting in the round, decreasing, kitchener/grafting, crochet
