Newale, with its 3⁄4 length sleeves, has a fun little twist—a curved pocket detail that is shaped as you work it. It’s a neat (and useful!) detail that adds an interesting visual element to a classic one-button cardigan.

Materials
3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5) skeins Dirty Water Dyeworks Edna (85% Polwarth wool, 15% silk; approx 380 yds per 130 g skein) in Moon Shadow
Approx 1000 (1080, 1150, 1225, 1310, 1370, 1450, 1510, 1575) yds.
One 29” circular needle size US 7 (4.5 mm)
Two extra needles of any length size US 7 (4.5 mm)
One set double pointed needles size US 7 (4.5 mm)
Or size needed to obtain gauge.
Stitch markers
Large stitch holders or waste yarn
One 1 1/8” button
Gauge: 20 sts and 27 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch
