Super bulky yarns are not all alike in gauge, and the texture of the final piece will reflect this. A more bulky super bulky yarn (like Cascade Magnum) will give you a more sculptural muffler. A slightly thinner super bulky yarn will give a little more drape.

The gauge also changes greatly upon wet blocking.
