Our 2017 Mystery Sock KAL is over now, but you can still have fun making the project!

Description: Crazy Quilts, all the rage in the late 1800s, were characterized by visually interesting details in random piecework, varieties of angles, diverse stitch patterns, and happy directional confusion.

This Mystery KAL captures the spirit of crazy quilting, and translates it to yarn and sock knitting. Boredom is not an option with this toe-up design, that is being presented in a series of Seven Weekly Clues that will keep you entertained and maybe even teach you a new trick or two! The pattern contains instructions in text and charts, and, as always, there will be video support to help you with techniques that might be new to you. The pattern is written for three sizes:

  • Narrow Width: 6.0 - 7.5 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • Medium Width: 7.5 - 9.5 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • Wide Width: 9.5 - 11 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • And foot length is determined by the knitter.
