My Stan and Minty
This is my original version of Stan and Minty. They first appeared together in Inside Crochet, May 2011.
They are very easy to do with virtually no seaming as you join their bits as you go.
The pattern (with English abbreviations) has 7 pages, with lots of useful information which will help you make the perfect lamb duo. I have also included a stitch diagram so you can create their cute faces.
There are only a couple of photos (cuts down on your printing cost) because they are really that easy!
You also may be interested in reading this thread about them.
Please add your finished lambs as I love to see them.
My friend became a Grandma for the first time and I wanted to create something special, to mark the event. (The baby is called Tristan!)
The Robin Aran produces a firm fabric which holds it’s shape. I liked using the Stylecraft Aran, but in artificial light black is sometimes hard to work. The Snowflake Yarn is more difficult to use but it is necessary to create the fleece effect. All wash well, which is essential for a child’s toy. Place in a net wash bag and wash at 30°.
Corrections
You need to stitch Stan’s horns on at the end, pin first to check position. The head from Row 18 to the end uses a 3.50 hook to bring it in. Thanks to Kathy for pointing this out.
