Construcción
The Motz socks are ankle-high shorties worked from the toe-up. Starting with a long, rounded toe, the foot is worked in a ribbing pattern on the instep and stockinette stitch on the sole. They have a gusset and a heel flap, but as they are worked from the toe-up they don’t require picking up stitches. They are finished with a folded hem, which includes a little flap at the back. Instructions are given for long circular needles and magic loop, but they’re easily adaptable to double-pointed-needles. Both socks are worked alike. Choose a size that has a circumference 1-2 cm 0.5-0.75” less than your actual foot circumference at its widest point (negative ease).

Construcción
Los calcetines Motz son unos calcetines tobilleros que se tejen de la punta hacia arriba. Empezando por una puntera larga y redondeada, sigue el pie con un motivo elástico en el empeine, mientras que la planta se teje en punto jersey. Llevan un talón de solapa que al ser tejido de abajo arriba no implica levantar puntos. Los calcetines tienen un acabado en dobladillo con una pequeña solapa en la parte trasera. Las instrucciones se dan para agujas circulares en magic loop, pero son fácilmente adaptables a agujas de doble punta. Ambos calcetines se tejen igual. Elige una talla que tenga una circunferencia 1-2 cm 0.5-0.75” menor que la circunferencia de tu pie (holgura negativa).
