Moroccan Lantern Socks
Sometimes I sit down to design because I have an idea and sometimes I play around until something I like materializes - this design was the result of the latter. The resulting stitch pattern has a flowing, textured, easy-to-remember lace pattern that reminded me of Moroccan Lantern motifs. The socks look great in solids and semi-solids but can also hold up to some variegation (the sample was knit in Elevate Fiber Arts Merino Twist in Holcomb Crossing). These top-down, stretchy socks could easily be worked two-at-a-time, and the pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
