Mood Changer
I called this shawl Mood Changer, because every time I worked on it, it really did change my mood. I had so much fun just living in the moment and changing stitches when I wanted, and creating new patterns. Either I was changing colors, or changing patterns, so I never got tired of working on this design.
Stockinette is worked at the beginning with a two row color change that when combined with the decorative stitch makes it look like the colors goes on for more than two rows.
The stockinette is followed by a purl stitch that makes it looks like a lacy bobble, even though it is a simple Purl 3 together.
It was a fun design to figure out, and a fun design to knit.
….and the reality is that I pad the yardage numbers because I never want anyone to run out of yarn because of gauge. You know, most people do not work a gauge swatch, especially if it is shawl. So, my real numbers are that I used 87 yds of each of the mini skeins, and 233 yds of the contrasting color. Now you can decide for yourself what yarns you want to use.
