Mitered Jacket
The rich dark blue, forest green, and violet of Ito colroway #21 provides a fascinating medium for gather-stitch sleeves and a showstopping body of mitered squares.
This asymmetric closure less cardigan begins with a long I-cord, from which the first row of squares are picked up and knit. Raglan armholes intensify the angular effect, following the diagonal lines of the body.
The pattern in the magazine has a photo tutorial for transitioning from the I-cord to the mitered squares.
