Midsummer Night
An ode to Summer in the middle of Autumn.
✨
Or how moths seem to have whispered to me around Midsummer.
“Look at me, look at me”. The moth muse was all around, and so I listened.
The Midsummer Night socks feature my favourite sock yarn combination: a strand of Istex, Einband (lave weight) and a strand of silk mohair.
This rustic and luxurious combination creates the most beautiful and cosy sock yarn you could imagine.
And the myriad of colours available means that the color combination is infinite!
In terms of gauge, there are two options available:
a sport/DK weight that is knit using knitting for olive silk mohair (225m /25g). This first option creates a slightly thicker sock that your regular 4ply one. It’s more cosy, yet still feels wonderful to wear in your regular shoes.
a second version that is knit in Drailles Laines Ankara, a much thicker silk mohair base that creates a roomy and ultra comfy slipper sock (they work fantastic in wellies too).
