Meredith Brioche Sampler Cowl
Meredith Sampler Cowl
The Meredith cowl is equally suited to those who have some knowledge of brioche and to those who have none. The pattern allows a beginner to produce a finished project to be proud of, while working at their own pace. The more experienced brioche knitter can tackle the featured designs Meredith version A and B right away.
Just a few words….
Instructions for the Meredith sampler cowl are divided into sections (or Samplers) and are provided in both written and charted format. Instructions begin with Sampler 1 - the brioche knit stitch (brk). With each new sampler the difficulty increases, travelling stitches, cables, brioche purl (brp) and finally Samplers in two colour brioche. Each sampler can be repeated as often as necessary for the knitter to gain confidence. Once the basics are mastered the order of Samplers can be moved around allowing endless design possibilites. Alternatively why not choose your favourite sampler (or samplers) and repeat until your yarn runs out?
Note
This is an extensive pattern, 14 pages in length. It contains written and charted instructions for each of the 11 sampler options as well as clear and helpful photographs.
