The design for the Men’s Windowpane Pullover came from my attraction to the Navaho Basket Pattern, published in Barbara Walker’s book, A Treasury of Knitting Patterns. I wanted to design a simply constructed sweater, with a manly feel to it, and the Navaho Basket Pattern seemed like the perfect choice. The sweater is designed to be roomy, with drop shoulders, a shallow v-neck, contrasting color edges, and knit in a DK weight yarn for a lighter, more fluid fabric.

The nice thing about this pattern is that, even though it is designed for men, it makes a great oversized “boyfriend” sweater for women! It’s super comfy, and the color combinations are endless, so you can customize your color scheme to suit your desires.
A surprisingly easy pattern dominates this comfy, oversize men’s v-neck sweater. The three- color pattern looks like fair isle, but is actually a slip stitch pattern, which is super easy to do. It has uncomplicated shaping, with 2X2 ribbed edges, a shallow v-neck and drop shoulders. The colors you choose can change the look of the sweater, whether you choose same toned, or contrasting, two darks and a light, or two lights and a dark. The combinations are endless!
