HOW IT IS WORKED
The Megan Puff Beret Beanie is designed to be just that, a cross between a beret and a beanie. It has a wide body that lays flat typical of a beret but with a little more slouch, and a fine, broad band more familiar to your favorite beanie. The band is worked first in a crochet ribbing that provides a balance between stretch and structure. Without cutting the yarn the completed band is turned and the body worked in the round in a delicate yet dense stitch pattern utilizing the puff stitch. I suggest a method for finishing that results in a practically invisible close for a flawless circular design. This a pattern perfect for your favorite self-striping yarn.
