Meandros
Meandros is a uniquely constructed shawlette/bandana cowl knit in three colors, all while enjoying garter stitch. A striped triangle is formed with selvedge edging that is picked up to form the structure of a normal top down triangle shawl. An I-cord forms along the edge of the shawl, and toward the end, slip stitches and stripes create an image evoking the Greek Keys for a decorative edging. A final I-cord bind off finishes the piece. The result is a complex looking accessory, but a guaranteed simple and even quick knit.

NOTES ABOUT THE PATTERN/SAMPLES: This shawl was designed to fit three skeins of yarn that are anywhere between 200-225 yards, so three skeins of anything between fingering and DK weight yarn. You should have enough of colors A and C, but color B will be cutting it very close to the end, so checking your gauge is important. If you do run low of yarn, I included minor notes at the last section. The fingering weight version follows the specific pattern. In the DK sample in the photos, I used color B for the I cord bind off in section one (I don’t recommend this, because I was extremely close to my last inches of yarn). Additionally, I voluntarily omitted the last 4 rows of the pattern and went to the bind off in color C because I thought that colors A and B would look better together at the end.
