Meandering Columns
MEANDERING COLUMNS is made up of lots of cables, twisting and turning; a very simple straight scarf – takes one skein of DK yarn. Easy to wear and easy to knit, enjoy!
YOU WILL NEED
1 x Merry O (DK yarn) – 211m/100g, 50% superwash merino, 50% silk
4mm knitting needles, tapestry needle
ABBREVIATIONS
k – knit | p – purl | st(s) - stitch(es) | RS / WS: right-side / wrong-side
4/4 PRC: 4 over 4 p right cross: slip 4 sts to cable needle and hold in back, p4, k4 from cable needle
4/4 PLC: 4 over 4 p left cross: slip 4 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k4, p4 from cable needle
GAUGE: 20sts to 24rows on 4mm needles in stocking st
SIZE: After washing and blocking: width - 17cm, length - 120cm
HAND WASH
Wash and rinse in lukewarm (30°C) water with mild soap, make sure garment is completely covered - no rubbing or scrubbing. Squeeze-out excess water. Roll in a towel.
* Dry flat and reshape while damp. Do not tumble dry. Iron on a cool setting.
MACHINE WASH
Place in a pillowcase or net bag. Use a mild detergent. Select a delicate cycle (no spin – knit/woollen wash) with a temperature up to 30°C. Follow hand-wash instructions above from * onwards.
