This shawl is knitted top down from a signature Åsa Tricosa shawl tab. Simple combinations of knits and purls create interesting textures and a billowing border. Mayhem Shawl is really a very large swatch for a Masham Mayhem Cardigan. My 3 skeins just demanded to become a shawl.

Choose a 4ply yarn for a lighter wrap or DK for more warmth and comfort. Ginger Twist Studio’s Masham Mayhem (yellow shawl is a lofty, soft, warm, exciting hand dyed DK yarn spun from British wool. I fell in love with the Muddy Sunshine colourway – it shifts subtly from strange greens to gold and muddy streaks of sunshine.

Indigodragonfly Chameleon Sock (orange & variegated collage photos) is a silky & luxurious 4ply with subtle highlights.
