PATTERN NOTES
-
Afghan is made from 24 mitered blocks, arranged in 6 rows of 4 blocks each. After the first block is completed, subsequent blocks are worked directly onto the edge(s) of previous block(s). The first 4 blocks are worked in a strip to form the First Row of Blocks. Then the next 4 blocks are worked and joined to the First Row, and so on, until Six Rows of Blocks have been worked and joined together.
-
To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over; yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Do not fasten off old color. Carry color not in use evenly up side of piece until next needed.
-
A total of 6 blocks are worked in each of 4 different color combinations. After the first row of each block is worked, the blocks are completed in same manner.
If desired, blocks can be worked separately and then sewn together.
