Mauve Socks
Mauve Socks are my second pair of socks that use a DK weight yarn held together with a strand of Silk Mohair. I just love the warmth these socks give and their durability. Add a little lace and I’m a happy lady.
Mauve Socks are knitted cuff down with a heel flap. I knitted the sample pair in Aara Yarn Aatos, a merino DK yarn, and Isager Yarn Silk Mohair held together throughout the project.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 (2, 2) skein(s) of Aatos by Aara Yarn, colorway Veera and 2 (2, 2) skeins of Silk Mohair by Isager Yarn, colorway 12. Note: The yarns are held together throughout the pattern.
Approx. 240 (300, 360) yds 220 (275, 330) m of heavy DK-weight yarn. Note: For the sample socks in size 1, a full skein of Aatos was used, even the swatch was used for the socks.
Needles: US 2½ (3 mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm) dpns or circular needles, if you are using magic loop technique for small circumference knitting.
