The top is worked bottom to top in the round. First in a simple lace pattern and then in stockinette stitch. Divide at armholes by casting off Back sts and finish the Front separately.
Finally, you make an I-cord drawstring and insert it to the Front piece, and tie at the neck.
Martha top is a pattern that suits beginners as well as more experienced knitters.
