Market Bag with Adjustable Handles
We love our bags! With summer approaching, we look forward to art fairs, trips to the beach and all the fresh goodies of the farmer’s markets, to name a few joys of the season. And we NEED our bags!
This one is sturdy, expandable, adjustable and generally great for many uses.
It was a joy to develop, constructed with single crochet stitches in a circular pattern from the bottom up to two separate handles, which are easily tied together, adjusting it to your desired length. I hope you enjoy making one for yourself or a friend!
You can use a bulky yarn or two strands of worsted weight cotton held together as one. Gauge is not critical for this bag.
The bag is 30” in circumference and 12” tall. The handle straps are 24” long, 7” wide at the base, decreasing to 2 1/4” wide for a 7” length, then decreasing to 1 1/2” wide for an 11” length.
Enjoy!
