Mariposa
“Mariposa” is designed with an easy open-work pattern and side panels from bottom up to raglan shaping and hems in single ribbing. The cuffs have central slits. The ribbed cable cast on provides more elasticity. The back, fronts, and sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together.
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Mariposa sweater:
- Louise Robert Collection – DK Pure (90% Merino wool, 10% Silk; 238 m /260 yds; 115 g): 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins in Miel Citron colorway.
- Circular needles size 4 mm (US #6).
- Tapestry needle.
- Stitch markers (optional).
SIZES : S (M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)
To fit 81 (91.5, 101.5, 112, 122, 132, 142, 152.5) cm / 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60)“ bust with 10 cm / 4” ease.
Sample shown in Size S, 91 cm / 35 ¾“ bust worn with 10 cm / 4” ease.
GAUGE: 19.50 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm; 4” in combination of open-work & ribb pattern.
22.70 sts and 28,5 rows = 10 cm; 4” in single ribbing.
Both gauges are measured after wet blocking.
The back, front, and sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together. Stiches are picked up across the neckline and then the collar is worked in rounds in single ribbing.
