This pattern is one 27 patterns from The Vintage Shetland Project and is not available as a single pattern. I do not intend to release the patterns individually.

Yarn

Susan Crawford Fenella 2 ply, 100% British wool (124m/135yds per 25g skein)
12 (15, 16, 18, 20, 22) skeins - shade Alta

Gauge
32 sts and 36 rows = 10cm (4in) over lace pattern knitted flat, after blocking. We obtained this gauge using 2.75mm needles.

Pattern Notes
This cardigan is knitted in one piece, back and forth, from the bottom up to the armholes. It is then divided and the two fronts and the back are each knitted separately. The sleeves are knitted in the round from the bottom up until the underarm is reached, at which point they are then knitted back and forth. The garter stitch button bands are knitted in with the body. All shaping is done at the armhole edges of the front sections to create a continuous vertical pattern column at the centre front. The traditional Print of the Wave lace pattern is used. The pattern includes charts of the lace pattern for all sections clearing showing decreases and part sections of the lace repeats where necessary.

The size shown in the photographs is the fourth size worn on a petite model with around 23cm (9in) of positive ease. For a more standard fit, it is suggested that you choose a size with approximately 5-10cm (2-4in) of positive ease at the chest.
