This design was inspired by an image of a realistic snowflake, and I tried to reproduce all the icy spikes in this little project. The snowflake can be used as a hanging ornament or a Christmas tree decoration.

Size: diameter: 10 cm (4”).

Yarn: Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat (100% cotton; 140 m (153 yds)/25 g (0.88 oz)), in color 106 Snow White.

Recommended Hook Size: 1.5mm (US Size 7 steel).

Notions: stitch marker, sewing needle, blocking mat and pins, starch.

Gauge: 5 rounds in pattern = 10 cm (4”).
