The patterns in the booklet have instructions for 5 ply, 8ply and 12 ply versions. The gauge and needle sizes shown above are for the 12 ply version. The gauge and needle sizes for the other versions are:

5 ply
gauge: 26.5 sts = 10 cm width, stocking stitch
needle sizes: 4 mm and 3.25 mm

8 ply
gauge: 22.5 sts = 10 cm width, stocking stitch
needle sizes: 3.75 mm and 3 mm

Some patterns also have a choice of set-in sleeves or raglan sleeves.
