Makana Hat
Makana means “gift” in Hawaiian. This pattern is designed with friendships in mind. When my friend came for her annual visit, I wanted to design a pattern that reflects the spirit of our friendship and her yarn. Makana was born out of this inspiration of Friendship and how it is a precious gift.
To make this hat, it requires just one skein of bulky yarn, you may hold lace mohair together for added softness. You just need a skein of hand dyed bulky yarn and a few hours of relaxing knitting time to complete this project. The resulting hat is simple, stylish, warm and it looks fabulous on almost everyone.
