The Majestic Cowl is made vertically, flat, in one piece. Repeating panels are connected as you go. The Majestic pattern is created using short rows and slip stitches that are smoothly integrated into the upper and lower ribbing edges.
Language: English
Crochet level: Challenging Intermediate.
You need to know how to work a foundation chain, slip stitch, and a yarn over slip stitch, to be ready to learn some slip stitch modifications that create the Majestic stitch pattern, count stitches, and follow the instructions carefully.
Inside:
• 19 pages of the pattern contain charts, written instructions, photos of the process, detailed mute video tutorials with English karaoke-style subtitles on the gauge swatch and the assembling stitch video.
• Convenient navigation inside the pattern.
Size: not specified. The pattern is based on a one-option chart to preserve a convenient trapezoid shape. The size will depend on your yarn and crochet hook choice.
For the gauge, use the main panel instructions to study the pattern and adjust the hook size to your yarn choice so that your stitches look nice and even.
Block it without fastening off and if it does satisfy you, keep working as many panels as needed, based on the gauge size and your preferences.
Materials:
1. Yarn: choose any yarn suitable for a 4 mm – 5 mm crochet hook.
Approximately 150 g. Choose solid colors, tweeds, or hand-dyed yarns. Variegated yarns will obscure the stitch pattern but can add other exciting effects. Z twist single-ply yarns are not recommended for this kind of stitching.
- Crochet hook size 5 mm - 5.5 mm
- Tapestry needle for assembling.
