I had one last skein of yarn that Handmaiden gave me at TNNA last year and thought it would be perfect for a one skein shawlette.This yarn is a mix of wool and silk and is quite lovely. It feels great against the skin and has a wonderful drape to it; the perfect thing for a shawl!

Sizes:
Small: Length: 48”; depth: 18.5”
Large: Length: 58”; depth: 26”

Materials:
Yarn: Handmaiden Silk Twist, 65% wool, 35% silk; 437 yds per 100g skein;
Small: charcoal, 1 skein, 390 yds.
Large: silver, 2 skeins, 600 yds,
Needles: Size 3/3mm 24” (or longer) circular needle and size 4/3.5mm 24” (or longer) circular needle for cast-on.
Other: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Gauge: 23 sts and 30 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch.

Notes:
This shawlette is constructed from the bottom up. The shawl is reversible; the Lace Edging Pattern is worked on both sides and the body stitch pattern has a purl background, but it looks good from the knit side also. The charts are written with the knit side as the right side. The charts are condensed so be sure to read instructions before beginning the charts. The two edges stitches on each side are worked in Garter Stitch throughout pattern.

as you come to it, work Row 1 of Center Chart to next

removing last m as you come to it.

It should be work Row 11 of Center Chart.
