Lyrebird
Lyrebird cardigan represents everything I value in modern romanticism – a timeless cut, fashionable details and charming and sophisticated lace that makes a sensitive-to-beauty heart beat faster. It’s an everyday sweater and art in one. Lyrebird was named after one of the most extraordinary Australian birds.
Notes:
Lyrebird is a romantic cardigan with dropped shoulders, comfy crew neck, double layered collar, double knitted plackets and straight sleeves that provides bell-like look around wrists. The cardigan is fully made with intricate lace patterns and the collar and the hem are finished with Rib 1x1. It is worked top-down and completely seamless. It starts with the back. After shoulder shaping, the back is worked straight down to the underarm. Stitches for the fronts are picked up along the shoulders and, after neckline shaping, worked straight down to the underarm. Both fronts and the back are joined and continued straight down in one piece to the hem. The shoulders are shaped by German Short Rows. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round down to the cuffs. Placket stitches are picked along the front opening and made using the Double Knitting method.
The pattern contains detailed instructions for making a cardigan in 8 sizes and two language versions – Polish and English.
Together with the pattern you will get access to the Supplement file, which provides all the calculations needed to individually adjust the length of the sweater to your needs.
