LURIK in Javanese means stripes. That is where the design idea came from. The ribbing mimics the stripes from the tip of the toes to the cuffs. The traveling cables are mirrored to differentiate the right and left sock, and to keep you engaged.

These socks are knitted with cuff-down with heel-flap construction. You can easily modify the size by knitting the foot or leg longer than the instructions.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 skein of Tough Sock by Papiput Yarn (75% superwash merino, 25% nylon, 437 yds / 400 m – 100 g), colourway Mentawai.

Needles: US 1.5 / 2.5 mm 32” / 80 cm circular needles or DPNs.

Notions: 1 stitch marker, 1 cable needle, stitch holder or waste yarn, tapestry needle.

GAUGE
30 sts x 42 rnds to 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
