This pattern was originally published as Pearl Fiber Arts’ contribution to the 2022 Rose City Yarn Crawl, February 24th – 27th, 2022 in Portland, Oregon. This pattern is also available for download as part of the 2022 Pattern Collection: Bloom.

In Northern California where I grew up, lupine grew wild in the campground behind my house. I always loved the field of vertical lavender/blue flowers that bloomed every summer. Lupine is resilient and restorative to the soil. It perseveres in areas where others may not thrive. We, too, have persevered through a lot of adverse conditions in the last couple of years. As always, nature shows us examples of how to proceed. My hope is that we’ve learned and grown in restorative ways, much as the lupine. Bloom on!
