Construction
Begin to cast on sts for the back, and work back and forth with turning rows to shape slanting shoulders. Cont until underarms with inc for armholes. Knit up sts for fronts, and work separately with inc for v-neck and armholes. Gather all parts to same circular ndl, work back and forth with inc on fronts and end with ribbing. Pick up sts for sleeves and work in rnds. End with dec and ribbing. Work double knit for cord, and work front band and neck edgings. Fasten one cord at side and one loop on inside of cardigan, to secure a stable fit.

Work entire garment with double yarn: 1 strand Tynn Peer Gynt + 1 strand Tynn Silk mohair.

Rib-pattern stretches a bit when washed. Wash garment, place flat on towels, shape according to given measurements while still moist and let dry.

The model is 177 cm tall and wears a size M.

Gauge/Tension
17 sts and 44 rows rib-pattern with yarn held together and 4.00 mm needles, slightly stretched = 10 cm

Tools/Notions

  • 1 button (for loop at side) - this helps the cord from unfastening
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook for button
  • 3.0 mm & 4.00 mm circular needles (body & sleeves)
  • 3.0 mm double pointed needles for cords (or magic loop)

Needle sizes are only suggestions.
