Love Bugs is a celebration of long-term love – the kind that’s warm, worn-in, and still going strong. These toe-up socks are a nod to happy marriages, deep connections, and the joy of true love.

One pair for Mrs Myrtle and one for Mr Myrtle, they’re perfectly matched in spirit but worked in different colours to reflect their individual charm.

A mirrored cable panel runs up the front of each sock, centred round a single purl stitch like a quiet thread holding everything together. On either side, graceful cables lean gently inward – two companions in step – with delicate ladders keeping quiet rhythm alongside. The rest of the sock features a tidy 3x1 rib for stretch and comfort.

Charts are included, and while not difficult, the pattern is best suited to confident sock knitters or newer knitters ready for a small, satisfying challenge.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Sizes US 0/2 mm and US 1/2.25 mm sock needles.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
4 stitch markers, wool needle.

1 skein of Bombed Yarns Sock 4ply (60% Superwash Merino, 20% superfine Alpaca, 20% Nylon; 438 yds/400 m per 100g) in “Mr Myrtle” (blue);
