THIS PATTERN IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
The Loralei is a lovely little hat with a laced-rib brim, cabled leaves and vines, bobbled flower centers, and multi-colored petals. It’s great first cable/bobble project if you’ve never tried them before, and if you’re an old pro at it, you can knit this in a few hours!
Notes:
- Use the long-tail cast on method to ensure that the brim is stretchy. I learned it specifically for this project and now I won’t use anything else! Here’s a video if you need to learn how: http://www.knittinghelp.com/video/play/long-tail-cast-on
- The yarn used is softer and more pliable than typical worsted, so if you use a stiff worsted, the gauge may be important.
- Less than one skein of each color is used.
- The pattern is available in written and chart forms.
