London
From the 2016 Knit Pickin’ Hats collection.
The idea for this design was born during a fiddling gig. I wish I could remember what song we were playing! Whatever it was made me want to combine this scrunchy cable with the openness of mesh. Two very opposite types of stitch/fabric feel.
Length can easily be added to the hat by repeating rnds 16–27. (If more repeats are added you will need extra yardage!) As shown the pattern works this section twice. The top/crown decreases pull in rapidly. Block the hat keeping with the slouch style or shape it over a plate (or similar) for a beret.
